Vauxhall station


Vauxhall station is a London Underground and railway station located at Vauxhall Cross, by the Vauxhall Bridge in Vauxhall. It is on the Victoria Line between Pimlico and Stockwell. It is on the border between zones 1 and 2. The Victoria line platforms opened on July 23, 1971.

Overground rail services are provided by South West Trains suburban stopping trains from Waterloo station

A new London Transport bus interchange, with a photovoltaic roof to generate its own energy needs, is under construction outside the station. This is scheduled to open in summer 2004.

Morrissey's 1994 album Vauxhall and I is named after the station.
