USS Aaron Ward

Three destroyers of the United States Navy have carried the name USS Aaron Ward, in honor of Rear Admiral Aaron Ward.

The first Aaron Ward (DD-132) served between 1919 and 1940 and then became HMS Castleton.
The second Aaron Ward (DD-483) served between 1942 and her sinking by Japanese bombers in 1943.
The third Aaron Ward (DD-773/DM-34) was a destroyer minelayer that served in 1944 and 1945.
