Prince William of Wales

His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten-Windsor (born June 21, 1982) of the Royal House of Windsor is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and second in the line of succession to the British throne.

Born in St Mary's Hospital at 21:02 GMT, Paddington, London, he is the elder son of Charles, Prince of Wales and the late Diana, Princess of Wales. His brother, third in line to the throne, is Prince Harry. He was christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Buckingham Palace on August 4, 1982.

William was the first royal prince to attend an ordinary primary school rather than being educated at home. He received his secondary education at Eton College, and is as of 2004 studying Geography at St. Andrews University in Scotland.

In 2004, the American network, NBC broadcast tapes of Diana, Princess of Wales, as she described a suicide attempt while pregnant with William.
