Ladislaus Jindrich of Bohemia

Ladislaus Jindřich, Vladislav (? - August 12 1222) was the son of Vladislav II, and younger brother of Premysl Otakar I. On June 22, 1197 he was elected Duke of Bohemia. Faced with an uprising in favour of Otakar, Vladislav Jindrich abdicated a few months later on December 6. Premysl Otakar then took the Czech throne (without imperial approval) and compensated Vladislav Jindrich with the autonomous Margravate of Moravia. By his repudiation of the throne, Vladislav Jindrich significantly helped to bring an end to the destructive dynastic wars of the Premyslid dynasty lasting for over 25 years from the death of King Vladislav II.
