EMBRAER 170

The EMBRAER 170 is a twin engine jet aircraft developed by EMBRAER. Depending on the seat configuration, the EMBRAER 170 seats between 70 and 78 passengers.

The EMBRAER 170 is the first aircraft produced by EMBRAER in their E-Jets series. The E-Jets are a family of aircraft targeted at the 70-110 passenger jet aircraft market for short to medium hauls and competes with the Bombardier CRJ-700. There is a great deal of commonality to the EMBRAER E-Jets series.

As of 31 December 2003, EMBRAER reports 120 firm orders for the EMBRAER 170, including an order of 85 aircraft from US Airways.
