Brossard—La Prairie

Brossard-La Prairie is the name of a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada. Its population is 100,489. (2001)

Geography

The district includes the Cities of Candiac and La Prairie, the Municipality of Saint-Philippe, and the former City of Brossard.

History

The electoral district of La Prairie was created in 1966 from Beauharnois-Salaberry and Châteauguay-Huntingdon-La Prairie. The name was changed to Brossard-La Prairie in 1996.
