Battle of Maxen

The battle of Maxen was a battle fought on November 21, 1759 during the Seven Years' War. A Prussian army of 13,500 men fought an Austrian army of 42,000 men. The Prussians lost their entire army.

Friedrich II. had sent smaller force to block the way of the Austrian army but did not believe that it would be attacked.

Daun took the his chance and practically noone of the encircled Prussians could escape instead of being captured.
