Barrow-in-Furness

Barrow-in-Furness is a town in Cumbria, England. It is the main town in the borough of Barrow-in-Furness. The population is approximately 65 000

Barrow dates from the 19th century and owes its existence to shipbuilding. It is one of the few remaining shipyards in the UK that has the capactiy to produce nuclear submarines. Iron Ore was also produced in the district and exported from the docks.

Twenty minutes away is the English Lake District.
