Baron Braye

Baron Braye is a title in the Peerage of England. In 1529, it was created by writ for Sir Edmund Braye. At the death of his successor, John, the barony fell into abeyance between several coheirs. In 1839, over 280 years after the death of the second Baron, the Sovereign terminated the abeyance in favour of Sarah Otway-Cave. At her death, however, the barony again fell into abeyance. The abeyance was terminated in favour of Henrietta Wyatt-Edgell only a few years after the third Baroness' death.
